A Reception to Year 12 International Baccalaureate world school, established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1954, we provide a sustainable, world class and holistic educational experience for our students,

As a Catholic College,  inspired by the Mercy tradition and charism, our Mercy Keys -  Mutual Respect, Compassion, Integrity, Justice, Responsibility and Loyalty - are our  values and present in all we do. 

In response to our rapidly changing world, our aim is to equip students to be life-long learners and global citizens by fostering internationalism and participation in international education.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) and the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) programs offered, promote the education of the whole person, emphasising intellectual, personal, emotional, spiritual, and social growth through all domains of knowledge.

At Mercedes College, we develop student's skills and confidence to flourish in their academic, co-curricular and personal pursuits.

Wellbeing is not a program at Mercedes College. It is much more important to us, and forms the basis of everything that we do.

The wellbeing of our students is deeply intertwined with our curriculum, facilities, approach to teaching and the connection between students and their teachers. We focus on personal growth and development, enabling each student to gain the confidence to take responsibility for their own learning.
